I want to talk about two words that might sound similar, but they mean something powerful — and different — when it comes to what we're facing right now: faith and belief.
Belief is what you have when you think something can happen because you have done it before. You believe you can win, you believe you can make that big play. It's the confidence in your skills, your training, and the game plan.
Faith? Faith is deeper. Faith is what you hold on to when things aren't going your way and you can't necessarily see it. When the scoreboard isn't in your favor, when you're tired, when doubt creeps in. Faith is trusting each other, and trusting that if we keep grinding, keep fighting, the results will come.
Right now, as we head into the post-season, we need both.
We need the belief — that you each can do your personal job.
But even more, we need faith — faith in ourselves, faith in the team, faith that no matter how tough the road has been, we're going to find our way back.
Barely the day has started and it's already 6PM.
Barely started Monday and it's already Friday.
A month is already over, the year is almost over.
We realize we have lost things and it's too late to go back.
So... Let's try, despite everything, to enjoy the remaining time.
Let's do what we like. Let's put some color in our grey.
Let's smile and appreciate the things that put happiness in our lives.
Despite everything, we must continue to enjoy the time we have left.
Let's try to eliminate the after's or later's.... I am doing it later, I'll say it later, I'll think about it after, l'll work harder after today.
Many of us unfortunately leave everything for later like the time "after" is ours and we control it.
We don't understand that afterwards in life coffee gets cold, priorities change, health passes, promises are forgotten, day becomes night, our collective season and for some football is no more. It's often too late.
So let's leave nothing for later because waiting for later causes us to lose the best moments, experiences, friends, and family.
We no longer have time where we can afford to postpone what needs to be done now.
The day is today.... Tomorrow is the day.
Your moment is now everyday!
